About
I hold a Dottorato di Ricerca (Department of philosophy-University of Roma Tre)in History of the Renaissance Philosophy, particularly on Marsilio Ficino’s philosophy and medicine. My Dissertation became my first book: Medicina e filosofia in Marsilio Ficino. Il Consilio contro la pestilentia, Edizioni di Storia e Letteratura, Roma 2007.
Afterwards I awarded two Post-doctoral fellowships and in the meanwhile I taught History and Philosophy as full-time Teacher in high schools in Rome.
Currently I am at The Johns Hopkins University (Department of German an Romance Languages and Literatures) in Baltimore as Ph.D. Student and TA in Italian Studies.
My areas of interest include: the political philosophy between the 14th and the 16th century from Dante Alighieri to Counter-Reformation, skepticism and rhetoric in the literature of the Late Renaissance, Rome told by literature arts and movie.
